Keaton Beach Fishing March 20, 21

Keaton Beach Fishing Report March 20, 21

What a difference a week makes? The Gulf's water temps were 51 last Saturday and this week the water was 72 degrees Sunday 8 days later! Folks are catching trout on just about any thing they are throwing of they get on the fish. Stickbaits, Jerkbaits, Flukes, jig and grubs with Cajuns and live shrimp under Back Bays are all taking fish from 2 - 4 feet.

We caught a limit of trout Sunday, with Capt. Dave Malone on board and we caught them on topwater, hard jerkbaits, soft jerkbaits and live shrimp under Back Bay Thunders.

Tuesday, I had Zack Cook and Nathan Alexander of Woodstock, Ga. and we caught 15 trout on Cotton Cordell gold Redfins and live shrimp under Back Bays. Our best depth was 3 - 3.5 ft. this same crew fished with me again Wednesday and we landed 15 trout; but couldn't catch but three on the Redfins...this time on chrome/blue. Our top two trout were 22.5" and 23" long Wednesday again from 3-3.5 feet of water.

I saw Johnny and Seebold Griggs of Phenix City, Alabama with David Parkman of Columbus, Ga. and they caught their limit Tuesday, with Paul Brown Devils in several colors in 2 feet of water.

This report from Sam Shaw of Homerville, Ga." I had my wife Christa Shaw along with my son Brady (8) and his friend Kyler Everett (9) out today and we got our limit of trout. Saw you catching fish also. We had the most luck just after high tide on live shrimp under Back Bays. Have a great week!!!"

Still haven't seen a pinfish.....but I am sure they are around...the Gulf was 74 degrees when we left the water at 4:30. p.m.
